New office, team members, logo, and more
The Climate Protection Campaign has a new office! We are
in Atelier One located at 2860 Bowen Street in Graton. Board member
John Garn generously offered to share his office with us. The Campaign
seeks volunteers and donations to perform basic office upgrades. Paint,
carpet, desk and track lighting, shelves and cupboards, an electric teapot,
general office supplies, and a copy machine are some needed items.
||On December 13, Martha Kowalick joined the Board of the Climate
Protection Campaign. Martha has decades of organizing, planning,
and fundraising experience on local, regional, and national levels.
Trained by the United Farm Workers, she has worked on health, security,
and womens issues. She and her family live at the Occidental
Arts and Ecology Center, being one of the Centers founders and
partners in the Centers Sowing Circle.
||Jessica Kellett is another new team member. She is a native
to Northern California and a recent graduate from Colby College with
a degree in Environmental Policy and Science, Technology, and Society.
She is coordinating the Cool Schools program as well as working on
fundraising, target setting, and the development of the Countys
climate action plan.
Bonny Frick, who coordinated our schools program for the past
year, is now working on the County and cities energy tracking
system as part of the energy efficiency initiative.
The Campaign has a new mission statement and slogan, thanks
to impetus from Abi Muthu, an MBA student specializing in marketing
who worked this summer with the Campaign.
The Campaign has a new logo too, thanks to Gloria Zarifa
and Merrilyn Joyce.
